The fact that children are not cheap pleasure, future parents understand already at the stage of preparation for childbirth. Today a woman has a choice: to give birth to her free of charge or under a contract on terms that are convenient for her. All of these options have their pros and cons.
Option one: childbirth with a birth certificate
A woman's lack of a birth certificate cannot be a reason for denying her medical assistance.
All Russian citizens are provided with free medical care at the birth of a child. To receive such assistance, you need to have your passport, exchange card and birth certificate with you upon admission to the maternity hospital. The birth certificate still raises many questions among women. The nominal value of the certificate does not give the right to pay them when receiving additional paid services. The certificate is withdrawn by the medical institution where the birth took place, and gives him the opportunity to receive money. The certificate is issued at the antenatal clinic at the place of pregnancy. If you are running a pregnancy in a commercial clinic, ask in advance if they issue birth certificates.
Option two: contract delivery
To conclude a contract, you can contact the insurance company, whose office is located right in the hospital.
If you want to give birth in a specific maternity hospital, with a specific doctor and with improved living conditions, you can conclude a medical care contract with an insurance company. In this case, you can choose the maternity hospital you are interested in and even a doctor. The doctor will begin to manage your pregnancy from week 36 and will be obliged to come to your birth, even if it is not his shift. Also, the contract can prescribe the presence of a husband or other relative at the birth. If the conditions of the maternity hospital allow, you will be provided with comfortable accommodation in the postpartum ward. It can be a single room with a child with a bathroom for the box. Or double occupancy with a neighbor. Some maternity hospitals offer accommodation in family wards where your husband can sleep with you.
When drawing up a contract for childbirth, be sure to ask the manager in detail about each item and ask for a tour of the maternity hospital (this is not possible everywhere). Make sure that the hospital can provide paid services for you personally. The cost of such a contract depends on the specific maternity hospital and the range of services desired. The most budgetary option for natural childbirth is childbirth with a duty team and placement in an ordinary ward (two or one) and they cost from 30 thousand rubles. Childbirth with a personal doctor and accommodation in a superior ward can cost from 80 thousand rubles for a three-day stay and reach half a million (for example, in the MPC). Subsequent days of stay (if the condition of the child or mother causes concern) are paid separately and cost from 5 to 20 thousand rubles per day. With a planned caesarean section, the contract price can double. If the cesarean was urgent, you will have to pay for all additional medical procedures and examinations when you are discharged.
Option three: personal agreement with the doctor
Never pay a doctor upfront. All calculations are only after discharge.
The most popular, but also the most unreliable option, when you directly negotiate with your doctor that he will take over your delivery. Of course, everyone wants, on the one hand, guarantees of a safe delivery, on the other, money saved. But according to the new resolution of the Ministry of Health, a doctor cannot be in a medical institution outside of his shift. If suddenly labor begins on an inopportune day, the doctor may simply not come to your call and you will have to give birth with the team on duty. In another case, the doctor can use labor stimulation so that the woman gives birth on his shift, which is also not a good development of events. The cost of such dubious services ranges from 25-50 thousand. But doctors themselves are usually reluctant to announce how much they need to pay.
