Childbirth is a physical process that ends with the birth of a baby. Nine months of waiting are coming to an end, and most expectant mothers are concerned about the moment of the onset of labor. As a rule, the surest symptom indicating the beginning of the process of delivery is the discharge of the mucous plug, which may be colorless or slightly brownish in color. It is worth noting that if the waters are green and even more unpleasant odor, then in this case, you should immediately consult a doctor. After all, this shade indicates the presence of any pathology on the part of the child, which poses a threat to his health. Based on the foregoing, we can conclude that the release of the mucous plug indicates the opening of the cervix, which is preparing to release the child. The cork can be released in small portions or at a time, with the sound of a pop.

Another characteristic sign of an approaching birth is intense contractions, the time interval between which is approximately the same. In terms of pain, contractions are very similar to menstruation, only prenatal pain becomes stronger every hour. However, in the intervals between contractions, painful sensations are almost completely absent, thereby giving the woman in labor a rest. Thus, if the contractions began to be repeated every 15 minutes, then this serves as a sign of the onset of labor. Such regular contractions end with full dilation of the cervix and, accordingly, the birth of a baby.

Signs of the onset of labor are signs such as frequent urge to go to the toilet, nausea, lack of appetite and pain in the abdomen. Basically, such processes occur under the influence of hormones that stimulate childbirth. Most women, with the approach of the birth process, begin to feel girdle pain in the lumbar region or mild pain in the lower abdomen. Moreover, these pain sensations can be periodic or permanent.

Of course, the birth process for each woman is carried out individually. Some women feel the gradual development of contractions, while others immediately become rapid contractions. It is important to remember that when the first signs of an impending birth appear, you do not need to waste time, it is advisable to immediately call an ambulance. After all, qualified specialists who are in the maternity hospital will always be able to help if something goes wrong. But be that as it may, you should not panic, but you just need to trust the specialists and strictly follow all the recommendations. Then the mother will be rewarded with the birth of a healthy baby and the knowledge of boundless maternal happiness.
