Memorizing poetry is necessary to enrich the child's vocabulary. It also forms the skills of correct pronunciation, in other words, it fosters the culture of speech in every possible way. It is important to start learning to memorize poetry at an early age so that the child is already prepared for school.
Necessary
sheet of paper, pencil, patience, imagination, creativity and positive attitude
Instructions
Step 1
Do not be discouraged and do not scold your child if he refuses to learn poetry by heart, assuring him that he does not know how to do it at all. By doing this, you will only aggravate the situation and reduce the baby's motivation. Try the following technique.
Step 2
Take the poem given for study and break it for convenience into fragments consisting of at least 2, maximum 4 lines.
Step 3
Read each individual fragment of the poem and immediately draw the images that arose in your imagination at the time of reading. Images can be placed in a column or in a line, but always in the order of the poetic lines. Of course, it will be much better if the child himself will come up with associative pictures and then sketch. But at first, you must clearly explain to him exactly how this is done.
Step 4
Pay attention - the simpler the image you choose, the easier it is to portray and understand. Therefore, you should not delve into complex images and storylines. Limit yourself to a concise, simple and clear picture that does not require additional thought.
Step 5
Next, ask your child to tell you a poem, but in doing so he should rely solely on associative images.
Step 6
At the final stage, the child must recite a poem using only the images that have been preserved in memory. No visual aids or texts can be used at this stage.
Step 7
In no case do not impose on the baby any image that is obvious to your perception, but completely incomprehensible to him.
