A child crying in a store in front of a shelf full of sweets or other seductive but not useful products is a familiar picture. Most parents admit that the behavior of little brawlers in the store can be simply unbearable. If mom or dad is categorically against buying this particular candy, they have a lot of work to insist on and not succumb to hysterics. How can such situations be prevented?

If the child's attention in the store was attracted by some edible trifle, for example, chips that you categorically do not want to buy for him because of harmful content, in most cases you are provided not only with loud cries of the baby, but also dissatisfied glances, and even replicas of other customers … No doubt, the situation is extremely unpleasant. How to make such troubles less?

The surest way to avoid tantrums is to leave your child at home. But such a wonderful way out, for obvious reasons, is not possible for everyone.

1. Train yourself to make a shopping list. So you save yourself from unnecessary pacing between the shelves with groceries and reduce the time that the child will be in the store.

2. To reduce the likelihood of a child's tantrum, assess the child's condition before going out - whether he is tired or hungry. Try to eliminate all annoying factors.

3. On the way to the store, it is a good idea to discuss planned purchases with your child. Try to gently explain why you don't want to buy anything else on top of the list. If the child starts asking for something beyond that, it will be possible to remind him of the conversation.

One of the most effective ways is to divert the child's attention. Think in advance what delicacy you agree to buy - if the baby is just starting to be capricious and you think that such a solution is possible, try to offer him something that suits you.

If the child is no longer just capricious, but screams heart-rendingly, demanding to buy him candy or chips right now, it is too late to offer a replacement. Try to convey to your child how upsetting this behavior is. Invite your child to go outside to calm down. If the whims continue, this condition should be met.

Establish a tradition - children value order. For example, agree with the baby to buy something specific for him. You can also discuss how useful what you are going to buy, and indicate the amount if the child is already large enough to understand it.

If you prepare in advance for going to the store, set yourself up for a dialogue with the child and try very hard not to give vent to irritation, the purchase of products will bring great pleasure to both you and the baby.
