Literally right after birth, the baby needs to get a lot of documents. One of the first is a medical insurance policy. If today's mothers and fathers received their first medical insurance policies during their school years, then the current crumbs need this document as soon as possible.

Instructions

Step 1

Ideally, you need to go for a policy immediately after receiving a birth certificate. And here there are the nuances that inexperienced parents face. District pediatricians are very fond of reminding in an orderly tone the entire first month of a child's life: "Get a policy soon! Without it, the polyclinic does not serve. Is that between life and death." This is a clear exaggeration - without a policy, a baby can be observed in a clinic for six months. It is for this purpose that the leaflets from the generic certificate are intended, which the clinic takes for itself. Although, of course, it is not worth delaying. There are also such mothers who, by the age of six months, have only a certificate from the maternity hospital in their arms!

Step 2

Parents often lose a couple of weeks due to another mistake. After receiving a birth certificate, they give it for registration at the place of residence, and only after receiving this mark are they sent to receive a policy. In fact, to issue a policy, a child only needs his birth certificate and the passport of one of the parents - they will look at the registration there. If one of the parents is a citizen of another state, then the policy is made using the passport of the parent who is a citizen of the Russian Federation.

Step 3

But the place of registration indicated in the passport is not a determining factor. After all, many live in rented apartments in other districts and cities. A child's policy can be obtained at the place of actual residence, having taken a preliminary certificate from the clinic where the baby is being observed. However, now the exchange of policies for a document of a new type is starting, and very soon the receipt of medical care will not depend on the region of residence at all. Already now, citizens can independently choose their own insurance company and change it, if desired, once a year. And the new policies will be of a single federal standard and will operate throughout the country.

Step 4

For the same reason, now the policy is not issued immediately to your hands, as it was quite recently. Now they are issuing a temporary document confirming the right to receive medical care. Such a certificate is valid until a new policy is received, but not more than 30 days. The policies themselves are issued indefinitely.
