Babies are monitored by pediatricians from the moment they are born. In order for the examination of the body to be complete, it is necessary to systematically pass tests, including the child's urine.
Instructions
Step 1
To collect urine from an infant, spray with water and blow on the bottom of the tummy. The baby will start urinating immediately. The main thing is to keep a sterile jar ready and put it under the stream in time. Girls sometimes don't get into the container. Go for the trick. Take a deep plate and pour boiling water over it. Repeat the procedure again - drip on the stomach and blow. Place the dish under your child. So, at least some of the urine will definitely be inside.
Step 2
For children six months and older, use a special hypoallergenic bag, which can be purchased at any pharmacy. Wake your baby up five to ten minutes earlier than he usually wakes up. This will allow you to attach the bag before the child pees. Hold it in your hands to drain the urine into the reservoir. When it is full, detach it from your genitals and pour the contents into a jar.
Step 3
If your child is potty trained, disinfect the container before collecting urine for analysis. Dissolve potassium permanganate in warm water and thoroughly wash the bottom and walls. Rinse several times under running water. After that, put the baby on the pot. Once he pees, pour the liquid into a sterile jar.
