Many parents are interested in what age the child is ideal for starting to learn a foreign language. Psychologists say: this is the moment a child is born. Best of all, a foreign language is comprehended in the first 3 years of a child's life, then the speed of memorizing words and lexical and grammatical structures drops significantly. This way of teaching a language contributes to the fact that the child learns from birth to speak two languages and subsequently speaks both perfectly. Such a child is called bilingual.

The bilingual way of teaching languages is the most natural and easy for a child, but at the same time it is very difficult for parents. Indeed, in order to provide such training for a baby, you need to constantly have a native speaker nearby who will speak with the child only in a foreign language - every day, every free minute, while the parents will communicate with him in their native language. This way of teaching is practiced in bilingual families, where one of the parents speaks one language, for example, Russian, and the other knows, for example, English or German. Children in noble families were taught in a similar way, inviting governesses from abroad who did not speak Russian and communicated with children only in a foreign language. At this time, it is difficult for children to sit still, in addition, they do not yet realize why they need to learn a foreign language. Therefore, the main thing is to captivate them, to give knowledge in the course of outdoor games, in the form of vivid pictures, memorable images. If you arouse the child's interest, then he will remember information without protest and difficulties.

However, nothing bad will happen if you start learning a foreign language with your child before school or in elementary grades. Then his teaching becomes more meaningful, and the child himself will be more assiduous than a preschooler 3-4 years old. He already understands that a foreign language can be interesting if it is taught in the form of a game, the kid can learn to read and does many tasks on his own.
