Parents want their toddler to speak fluent Chinese, German or English. But there are tricks that can make your child interested in learning.
It is much easier for preschoolers to learn a foreign language. They are able to master several non-native languages at once. No wonder they say that children absorb everything like a sponge. Especially if one of the parents is a foreigner and often speaks their native language. At the genetic level, each of us has the ability to hear and reproduce sounds, to understand the connection between objects and names. But, unlike adults, children do not look for causal relationships, do not try to analyze them. They just learn a foreign language intuitively, without fear of making mistakes. To take advantage of these benefits, it is necessary for the baby to be willing to learn. How can this be achieved?
1. Arouse interest and involve in the process
Children are very fond of cartoons and TV shows. Watch them in a foreign language with subtitles. This makes it easier to learn new words and master the pronunciation. Kids perfectly remember everything they see and hear. Singing develops the vocal apparatus well. Play songs in the target language for your child more often, sing along. And invite the teenager to choose the repertoire himself. There are many applications, programs and games of various difficulty levels on the Internet that can improve vocabulary and understand grammar more easily.
2. Show an example
Learning together is more fun. If you know this language, speak it with your child every day. If you do not have enough knowledge, then learn simple phrases, names of objects that you often use, counting rhymes and short rhymes. Gradually introduce them into everyday speech. Watch movies together, read books. The main thing is that these lessons do not become a hard and unpleasant duty. Play classes. The kid should see that the parents are also interested in it and they are passionate about it.

Do not insist if the child does not have the desire to learn the language. This will cause a negative reaction. Better give time and try to subtly captivate.
If your child refuses to go to class, find out the reason. Maybe he is not comfortable in the group, he doesn’t keep up with the program, or he doesn’t like the teacher. The process of mastering a foreign language is always easier if the foundation was laid before school. But there will be difficulties anyway. Your task is not to swear, punish and demand, but to help. Enroll your child in a language studio, find a good tutor with an approach, visit places where you can communicate with foreigners (festivals, meetings, fairs), organize a trip abroad.
