Step 2

Prepare cereal for porridge. Do not take cereals that are too dark, they can be bitter. Use premium cereals. Sort out debris and unrefined grains. Rinse the buckwheat well and dry. Grind dry cereals using a coffee grinder or blender. Milled groats should be between semolina and flour. You can use ready-made buckwheat flour.

Step 3

Take 1 teaspoon of buckwheat flour or ground cereal per 100 ml of water to prepare 5% buckwheat porridge for the first feeding. The porridge should turn out to be quite liquid. When the baby gets used to the semi-thick consistency and learns to eat from a spoon, increase the concentration of porridge to 10% - 2 teaspoons of cereal per 100 ml of water.

Step 4

Pour the cereal with water and cook over low heat for about 15-20 minutes, stirring constantly. You can add breast milk to the finished buckwheat porridge. If the baby is bottle-fed, you can add milk formula to the porridge, which the baby usually eats. Do not use salt for infants.

Step 5

If the child is older than 6-7 months and is not prone to allergies, cook porridge in low-fat milk, diluted 1: 1, as our mothers and grandmothers did. It is best to use special baby milk in cardboard packages for baby porridge.

Step 6

For older babies, add baby cream, fructose or sugar to the finished porridge. Make sure the sugar is not allergic to your child. Most children prefer sweet, milky-flavored cereals.

Step 7

If your child has allergies, use only approved products. You can add puree from fruits that the baby tolerates well, for example, banana or pear, to the finished unsweetened porridge. This will improve the taste of the porridge.
