Jumping rope allows children to develop coordination, agility and speed. This is a great exercise for both girls and boys.
It is necessary
rope or rubber skipping rope
Instructions
Step 1
You can start teaching children to jump rope from the age of 4. Choose a rope that matches your child's height. Ask the baby to stand in the middle of the rope with both legs, pull its ends with bent arms to the armpits. If the rope is long, adjust it.
Step 2
Show how to hold the rope correctly. Take it by the handles freely, do not strain your brushes. The rope should be at the back and touch the floor. Let the kid try to hold the rope himself.
Step 3
Next, teach your kid to rotate the rope correctly. Children usually try to twist with their whole hand, correct them so that they rotate with their hands (and the arms should be slightly bent). If the child does not succeed in this movement, cut the rope into two halves so that the child learns to twist the rope first with one hand, then with the other and with both hands together.
Step 4
When the child learns to synchronously rotate the rope with both hands, start teaching him to jump. Do the following exercises with him. Rise on your toes and step on your heels and vice versa. Then you can add a rope, throw it over, cross each leg in turn and repeat all the movements from the beginning.
Step 5
The game of tag helps to teach jumping rope very well. The driver spins the rope, and the players must jump over it, pushing off the floor with both feet at the same time. Make the game even more interesting, have children, jumping over the rope, wave their hands like birds.
Step 6
The preparatory exercises will help coordinate movements of the arms and legs, and over time, you will learn how to perform several jumps in a row. It is also very important to teach children to land correctly on their toes, elastic and soft, dropping on their entire feet.
Step 7
At the age of 5, children can master a wide variety of jumps forward, backward, with advancement, jumping from one leg to another, criss-cross. Let them design the rope games themselves and the little ones will love to jump.
