Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder is one of the most common developmental disorders in children. This syndrome is accompanied by increased activity, which can reach complete disinhibition. Excessively high physical activity is the main reason for the violation of the child's social adaptation.

Despite the fact that this syndrome is often called the syndrome of motor activity, the main defect in its structure is attention deficit defect. Such a child, unable to concentrate on something for more than a few moments, this translates into increased distraction, he reacts to every sound and movement. These children are often emotionally unstable, irritable, quick-tempered.

Hyperactivity can start very early, during infancy. Children have increased muscle tone, increased sensitivity to stimuli, they cry a lot, sleep and eat poorly, and it is very difficult to calm them down.

The syndrome manifests itself more clearly at 3-4 years old, the child is not able to concentrate on anything. The kid cannot, without being distracted, listen to a fairy tale, is not able to play games that require concentration of attention. All his activities are chaotic.

The peak of the syndrome is considered to be the age of 6-7 years. It is characterized by excessive impatience, especially in situations that require calm. The child moves from one activity to another, without completing a single task to the end, fidgets, wriggles at the moments when it is necessary to sit. Most often, this behavior manifests itself in public places such as school, transport, hospital, museum, and so on.

But ordinary children who are not susceptible to hyperactivity syndrome sometimes become irritable, angry or uncontrollable, so it is not worth “rewarding” every excitable child with this diagnosis.
