All mothers know: cleanliness is the guarantee of a child's health. But it is not always easy to follow the principle in practice.

It is necessary

  • It is necessary to accustom the baby to cleanliness from the first months of life. If the hygiene procedures are on schedule, with the usual preparations and rituals, then the child will quickly begin to take them for granted. Therefore, mothers do not need to deviate from the rules: it is important that all "bath events" take place on time, and not from time to time.
  • However, at 3-4 years old, many children begin to show character and do not always rush to the bathroom with a smile: some procedures cause them a serious protest. So what can you do?

Instructions

Step 1

Washing head

The kid desperately resists when mommy tries to lather his head … Many parents go through this difficult period. If once while bathing, the water got into the child's nose, and the foam got into the eyes, then next time he will probably make a scandal. He's really scared. Therefore, you need to try to make sure that unpleasant memories come to his mind less and less.

Step 2

Not bathing, but games

You can distract your baby from worries, for example, turning bathing into a fun game. To do this, you need to buy in advance a baby bath product, baby shampoo with a "tasty" aroma, build a foam cap on the top of the baby's head and show how great it is to make funny horns, ponytails and other shapes out of soapy hair. You can take a mirror with you (but don't give it to your hands).

Older children can be presented with bright swimming goggles and invited to dive. How is it? It turns out that if the eyes are protected, then the water on the face is not scary at all, but rather fun. You can lather your head and rinse off the lather without removing your glasses.

Step 3

Compromise

No need to scold the kid, no need to put pressure on him and no need to put ultimatums like "Either you wash your head immediately or I don't know what I will do …". You just need to try to talk to him and clarify what exactly scares him. Is the water too hot? Let him make it "colder". Offer a compromise: for example, not washing your hair in the bath, but standing under the shower. You can do it like in a beauty salon - by substituting a chair to the sink.
