Step 1

Take the child's hand, go with him to a depth of waist (for a young swimmer). Begin the "Sea Battle" exercise. Stand facing the baby and, raking water with your hands, splash it into each other. Step 2

Go to the game "Race". At a distance of about 3-4 meters from the shore, throw floating toys into the water. At the signal, run from the shore to the toys, take one and return to the shore. The winner is the one who collects the most toys. The main purpose of the exercise: to teach the child to move in the water, helping himself with his hands.

Step 3

Do the head-dive training. Play Pump. The depth of water for a child is up to the chest. The kid takes a breath, immerses his face in water, then exhales. You can cover your eyes. Next, take the young swimmer by the hands, face him. Squat alternately, plunge into the water with your head, holding your breath. Let your child learn to exhale fully in the water. Teach your toddler to do the previous exercise with eyes open.

Step 4

Have the child play Float. He needs to take a breath, squatting down, clasp his knees with his hands, press his chin to his chest, hold his breath for 10-12 seconds. Due to the air in the lungs, the baby's body will begin to float to the surface of the water. Tell the young swimmer to stretch his legs and arms, relax, lie on the water. Let the head be in the water, and the face will be lowered down.

Step 5

Do the Arrow exercise. The child should go into the water up to his chest, take a deep breath, hold his breath and, stretching his arms forward, push off with his feet from the bottom. This technique teaches you to slide on the water surface.

Step 6

Sit in shallow water with your baby. The child's legs should be extended, the shoulders should be in the water, the head should be above the water. The baby begins to work with his legs up and down, combining this action with deep breaths and exhalations into the water.

Step 7

Play Arrow. Have the child push off the adult's knees with bent legs in an up-and-down motion. His head is immersed in water face down and rises only for inhalation, exhalation - into the water.

Step 8

Walk with your child into the water up to your chest, let him lean forward so that his chin and shoulders are in the water. You need to stroke with your hands. Achieve synchronous movements: stroke with the right hand - turn the head and inhale; left hand stroke - turning the head face down and exhaling into the water. Do the exercise 10-15 times.

Step 9

Send the child to swim on their own, insuring him. The baby takes a deep breath, lies down on the water with his tummy, stretches his legs and straightens his arms behind his head. The head is lowered into the water, face down. The child begins to perform rowing movements. Supporting his palms with your hands, slowly step back. Monitor the correct execution of the movements of the limbs, the breathing of the baby.
