It turns out that swimming is simply necessary for babies from birth, since this triggers the body's natural reflexes, which means the brain begins to work hard. In later life, this will have a very good effect on the child's intellectual abilities and physical health. How to teach a baby to swim? Classes with the child begin no earlier than half an hour after feeding. Before this, the child is well warmed up with the help of massage for reflex exercises. At the same time, the baby's head should not be tilted.

When swimming in cold water, the bath is filled with water at a temperature of 15–17 ° C. The child is lowered into the water, holding by the armpits. After the baby's feet touch the water, the baby reflexively holds his breath, so he can be lowered into the water horizontally, face down. In a second or two, the baby will start swimming. According to another method, the child is held under water.

Before diving, the kid should be told that "we are going to dive now." Even a newly born baby perfectly understands the words of the mother. A child can swim underwater for about 5 seconds.

If swimming is carried out in warm water or, before diving, the baby was distracted by the game or relaxed, then before diving, the baby needs to splash some water on his face so that the reflex works, and the child has time to hold his breath and is not frightened after taking a sip of water.
Step 8
Diving in warm water alternates with swimming. One hand is held on the baby's chin, the other on the back of his head. You can walk the baby on the back of the water and then turn it over onto the tummy. In the first months of life, a child can swim for no more than 15 minutes.
