Step 1

"Float". This exercise teaches your toddler to dive under water without being afraid of it. Step 2

The legs are also divorced, the back of the head and ears are in the water. The exercise teaches you to stay on the water without fear of breaking away from the bottom.

Step 3

"Asterisk" (on the stomach). Raising his arms up and slightly apart to the sides, the child inhales and holds his breath. After that, he makes a small push with his feet from the bottom and lies on his stomach on the surface of the water, imitating a star. The face is in the water.

Step 4

"Fountain". This exercise is for those who like splashing. The child sits on his stomach, holding onto the edge of the pool with his outstretched arms, while working hard with his legs, creating a fountain of splashes with his movements. In the future, the exercise can be made more difficult. To do this, the baby holds onto a foam board. At the same time, he will begin to move in the water, acquiring the first swimming skills.

Step 5

After mastering and confidently performing the exercises, you can add hand movements. The child should be slightly supported by placing your hand under his chest. It is necessary to monitor correct breathing, you should not hold it.

Step 6

The final stage of training is trial heats. The adult moves away from the child a few steps, and the baby tries to swim to him. The distance and depth can be gradually increased. And most importantly - do not forget to praise the child, this is the key to success in any of his endeavors.
