Pregnancy is a difficult and wonderful time, which for many women causes a feeling of deep satisfaction and delight. How seriously do you need to change your life at this stage, is it necessary to reduce the level of physical activity, or vice versa, take the opportunity and go on an exciting hike?
Safe outdoor recreation
Many women during pregnancy want to get some more pleasures that with the birth of children will be temporarily unavailable. Going out into nature is one of these pleasures, especially if such outings were a regular practice before pregnancy. Many pregnant women are worried about whether it is possible to go hiking or even just go to barbecues in an interesting position.
The hikes can be very different. Some people think that a few hours of leisurely strolling with a picnic basket can be called that word. Others believe that a hike is necessarily a life in tents for several weeks or a dangerous rafting on river rapids. These are different levels of risk, exercise and responsibility. Of course, pregnant women should forget about extreme hikes in rocky mountains without insurance, speleology, and generally about visiting hard-to-reach places, from where it is not easy to get to the nearest medical center. But an ordinary trip to nature for several days with tents is quite an affordable vacation for expectant mothers. It is desirable, however, that such an exit is carried out by car, and not by public transport. This will allow you to quickly get to the nearest hospital in a critical situation.
Required restrictions
There are several reasonable limits that apply throughout pregnancy. Expectant mothers should not lift weights, drink alcohol, overeat or overestimate their physical condition. Even if, before pregnancy, a woman could make transitions fifty kilometers a day, with a child inside, you need to forget about it. Changes in weight, oxygen demand and other new circumstances have to be reckoned with.
Remember to take extra precautions. During your overnight stay, you should have a warm, windproof place. If you are going on a hike during the hot season, bring a few changes of clothing with you. During the hike, do not drink unboiled water or eat suspicious foods. An organism weakened by pregnancy may not be able to cope with minor troubles. You should not go far from "civilization" in the late stages, especially when it comes to the end of the third trimester. Childbirth in the forest only sounds romantic; without proper preparation, such an adventure may not end very well.
Before leaving for the forest, take care of charging all of your phones, it is very important to stay in touch just in case. Do not forget your prescribed medications and ancillary items such as a bandage.
Going out into nature is a great way to calm your nerves, take a break from the noise of the city and prepare yourself for the birth of your baby. But if you have contractions, unpleasant traces of bleeding, swelling or vomiting, postpone the trip and go to the doctor. You should not go to the forest if during pregnancy you do not feel too confident, the lack of comfortable living conditions can aggravate your condition.
