In addition to the fact that in young children, teeth decay from caries very quickly, and it does not look very beautiful, caries leads to other diseases. Most often, children develop inflammatory diseases of the throat and rhinitis. To avoid such serious consequences, the diseased tooth must be removed or cured, if possible. Any dentist will make every effort to heal a baby's tooth and, thereby, preserve it until the appearance of permanent teeth.

Often in children under three years of age, the front teeth are affected, this is due to the fact that they are the first to appear. At this age, it is still impossible to remove teeth, as this can lead to malocclusion and speech impairment, so doctors resort to a special coating. In the early stages of the disease, the dentist invites parents to carry out a procedure, which consists in applying silver fluoride to the place damaged by caries. This, of course, will not eliminate the disease, but it will stop its development. If the child already has permanent teeth and the doctor notices the occurrence of caries, he or she can clean those teeth and seal the fissures. In a situation where caries has already damaged the enamel and has spread further, treatment is indispensable. In order for the treatment procedure to be successful, you need to prepare your baby in advance by telling everything that they will do to him. If a child's tooth is severely affected by caries, and the treatment procedure brings pain, the doctor resorts to pain relievers. Typically, pain relief is given with an injection. In order to prevent the baby from crying from the injection, the injection site is anesthetized by applying an ointment or spray. After temporary pain relief occurs, the doctor gives an injection.

In the course of treatment, the dentist removes tissue with hand instruments, if this is not enough, he uses a drill. Naturally, some children are frightened by its loud sound, so the doctor takes frequent breaks in drilling the tooth. After removing the affected tissue, the doctor seals the tooth with a filling. For children's fillings, materials are used that do not require long hardening and are inserted into the tooth one-time.
