Man is a social being and there is no escape from this fact. All his life he has contacts with other people, be they business or work, friendly or personal. The ways and factors of contacts are influenced by how a person was brought up and, therefore, in what family he grew up.
What the family teaches
The family is a person's educational environment. The child grows up and sees an example of contacts between family members. On the basis of their relationship, the basic models of behavior in the future and, above all, in his own family are formed in him.
His family members are the first to teach him communication. A certain model of the child's behavior depends on how the relationship between them is built. It can be both conscious and unconscious.
The latter is even more important. No matter how much mom inspires her son that he should help her with the housework, but if he sees an example of a father lying on the sofa, then there will be little sense from such upbringing. At the same time, if the family has a harmony and a warm atmosphere, a person who grew up in such an environment is unlikely to agree to less in his own adult life.
Psychologists have long come to the conclusion that children who are brought up in orphanages and orphanages are extremely rarely able to create strong and durable families for the simple reason that they did not grow up by this example and do not know how it is. Unhappy, they will strive all their lives to create what they were deprived of in childhood, but this is almost always doomed to failure. Their teaching environment was society, but not family. So they then live in society, subconsciously not receiving satisfaction from this and not being able to change something. In society, they tried on the role of parents, and therefore it is extremely difficult to assume this role.
For those with a strong character, a dysfunctional family becomes not an example, but a hardening. There are cases when a child, who grew up in a family of drunkards or a tyrant father, then creates his own, completely different correct family and never allows repetition of the stories of his own sad childhood. But this, unfortunately, is rare. If a child's character is initially strong, it is possible to temper him, and not completely break him. Basically, the human subconscious has the ability to reproduce, not generate.
Family of an adult
Do not think that the family ties of his own family do not teach an already established adult. Happy relationships are a composite concept, they require constant work. A person learns from his own family to be more attentive, kinder, more caring and teaches others the same. This often happens unconsciously.
It turns out that the family is a pedagogical environment for a person of any age and throughout any stage of his childhood, and then adult life.
