In the center of the lake there is a large island with high shores. In the summer, boys from the boarding school live there, who are preparing to become astronauts, leading a healthy lifestyle. They also fight poachers in every possible way.
The events developing in the book are captivating and mesmerizing. It is impossible to break away. In the mid-sixties, after this story was published in one of the magazines, the writer was inundated with letters from boys and girls from all over the country. They demanded to continue, wanted to meet with the main characters, correspond with them.
However, the plot and all the main characters are fictional. But the places described in the book do exist. There is also an island with a boarding school. The former boarding school is now a small recreation center called Mezhutoki. Every year the so-called “meeting of the presidents” takes place there. Fans of this wonderful book are gathering, which teaches goodness, love and courage.
The book "President of the Stone Island" has not left anyone indifferent. In those early years, it was so popular that the writer William Kozlov was forced to write a sequel to "The President Does Not Resign."
