The change of milk teeth to permanent ones is considered a very important stage in the development of a child. This period begins at the age of 5, 5 to 7 years and lasts 5-6 years. The scheme by which this process takes place looks more or less the same for all children.
Instructions
Step 1
Milk teeth, a complete set of which usually grows by the end of the third year of a baby's life, fall out, as a rule, in the same sequence in which they grew. The first in turn are the lower incisors. One day, a child comes to his parents with a message about a loose tooth. This happens due to the fact that the permanent tooth begins to grow, freeing its way by pushing out its milk brother.
Step 2
Not all children have time to register a slight wobbling, which is becoming more and more intense day by day. Some of them notice a loose tooth when it literally hangs on a string, and sometimes completely imperceptibly lose a tooth when falling or biting off something hard, such as an apple or candy.
Step 3
Children perceive changing teeth differently. Someone rejoices at the next stage of growing up. Someone is looking forward to a gift from a tooth fairy, a bunny or a mouse - that magical creature that his parents managed to tell him about, bringing a consolation prize for every lost tooth. Some babies, on the contrary, are afraid of the changes taking place with them, begin to worry and even cry.
Step 4
It is generally accepted that the first milk tooth falls out when a child reaches 6 years of age. But this is a very average value. In fact, this can happen at either 4 years old or 7 years old. At the same time, children who have their first teeth at 3-4 months lose them earlier than those who remained toothless for up to 8 or even 10 months.
If a baby tooth falls out before the baby reaches 4 years old, it is necessary to urgently consult a doctor, because such an early loss is considered completely abnormal and may be a symptom of some serious illness. Likewise, if nothing happens in the mouth even after the child is 8 years old, a dentist's consultation is necessary. It is not necessary that there is something bad behind this phenomenon, but it is still worth clarifying the situation by taking a panoramic x-ray of the jaw.
Step 5
New teeth look much larger than milk teeth, have a toothed comb along the edge and can slightly frighten their owner or his parents. But there is no cause for concern. It is quite natural that adult teeth are larger than children's teeth. At the time of its appearance, the tooth has not yet reached its size; it will have to grow to them during the next year. At the same time, he will move the jaw apart, prompting it to grow, which is why the change of teeth is delayed for several years. Each of the newcomers that appear gradually straightens out, taking the place intended for him by nature, so that in the end you get an even and beautiful dentition.
