All developed European countries are engaged in the development and production of the necessary vaccines for their own needs. Today, ten drugs are produced in Russia, which are included in the vaccination schedule for children. What are these drugs, and for what vaccinations are they intended?
Vaccinations for schoolchildren
In first grade, mumps, measles, chickenpox and rubella are usually vaccinated with MMRV. The first dose of this vaccine is given to first-graders who have not received the chickenpox vaccine. It is desirable to receive the second dose privately through the clinic. In the second grade, students receive vaccinations against tetanus, diphtheria, polio and pertussis - the Tdap-IPV vaccine.
For children who have already received their first vaccination before school, the first grade vaccination will be the second dose.
After the second grade, vaccinations continue to be given only in the eighth grade - by the decision of the Ministry of Health, girls will be vaccinated against the human papillomavirus with the HPV vaccine. This vaccine was included in the list of routine vaccinations only in 2013. The regular vaccination program must be followed at the recommended time and in strict accordance with age. It is highly undesirable to make significant changes to this program.
General rules for vaccinations
Vaccinations are always recorded in the Ministry of Health's medical information database and documented in the childhood vaccination booklet. At the beginning of the school year, parents are sent from school a form called a “health declaration”, which is under the responsibility of the Ministry of Health. Parents must sign the form and return it back to school.
If your child has had any complications with previous vaccinations, the school nurse should be alerted.
Two weeks before the vaccination, a message is sent to the parents asking them to send the childhood vaccination book to the school nurse. It must be given before the date indicated in the message - this is necessary so that the nurse can prepare in advance for the vaccination. If parents do not wish to vaccinate their child for any good reason, they must document their refusal on a health declaration form or notify school health personnel in advance.
School vaccination is canceled if the child is sick and his temperature exceeds 38 degrees. At a lower temperature, no fever or a mild form of illness, it is undesirable to refuse vaccination. Also, mild diarrhea, local infection, or mild respiratory illness is not a reason to refuse vaccination.
