The main dishes for children are bottles, from which the baby is fed with milk mixture, cereals, and also given to drink juice, compote or water. Bottles used to feed your baby must be sterilized before each feeding. It is very easy and quick to do this in the microwave.

After feeding, in baby bottles, a favorable environment may appear for the development of various bacteria that are dangerous for the fragile body of the baby. An undeveloped immune system cannot deal with them, and this can lead to colic, bloating, gastrointestinal upset and dysbiosis. Thorough washing and sterilization will help avoid these negative points. For processing, you can purchase a special sterilizer for baby dishes, but it is easy enough to do this in a conventional microwave oven.

For microwave sterilization, you can use a special container, an ordinary plastic container suitable for use in a microwave oven, or sterilization bags.

The kitchen sink should be thoroughly cleaned, capped and filled with water. Add a little detergent for washing baby dishes to the water. Disassemble the bottles and remove the nipples. Using a special brush with stiff bristles, wash all parts of the bottle. Empty the sink and rinse the bottles under running water, then dry them with a clean soft towel.

Put a bottle with a nipple in a pre-prepared container and place it in the microwave. Sterilize the dishes at maximum power for 90 seconds. At the end of the sterilization process, remove the container from the microwave, take out the bottle and place it in the refrigerator. All other bottles are sterilized in the same way.

The container used for sterilization must be larger than the bottles it sterilizes.

In specialized children's stores, you can purchase a special container-sterilizer for the microwave. This sterilization process is practically no different from sterilization in a conventional container. Washed and wiped bottles and teats are placed in a cleaned container of water and placed in the microwave. Set the power and time specified in the instructions for the sterilizer. Sterile dishes that will not be used immediately are placed in the refrigerator.

During sterilization, the bottles should never be closed, as the air in them expands under the influence of microwaves, and this can lead to an explosion.

Reusable bags are a good way to sterilize dishes in the microwave. Put clean dishes in a bag, add a little water and seal them with a special lock. The microwave oven is set to the maximum power and sterilized for the amount of time specified in the instructions. They are very convenient when visiting or traveling, do not take up much space and allow you to effortlessly sterilize a bottle for a baby in any place where there is a microwave.

You can sterilize dishes for a child in the old grandmother's way, but use a microwave oven instead of a stove. To do this, take a glass container (special dishes for microwave ovens are perfect), pour a little water and place a bottle and a nipple in it. At maximum power, the dishes are sterilized for 8-10 minutes.

Sterilization of baby dishes is a very important and crucial moment in caring for a baby. The use of non-sterile dishes can cause a lot of negative consequences that require a long and painstaking correction.
