Parents-to-be are usually at a loss - what kind of clothes should a future baby buy? Children grow, sizes and styles change, but questions do not disappear. However, there are some general rules for choosing clothes for children.
Instructions
Step 1
The most important thing to know is what size clothes are right for your child. The best option, of course, is to take your beloved child with you to the store. In this case, the problem with fitting is easily solved, besides, perhaps the child will choose the thing that is pleasant not only to you, but also to himself.
Take measurements from the child - chest circumference, length of legs and arms, waist circumference and height. If you can't figure out the exact size, take a piece that fits your child well and focus on it. If you want to take a thing for spring and autumn, then take it with a margin. The same applies to knitwear - they can shrink quite strongly after washing. You can ask the seller what size is appropriate for a given age. Although all children are different sizes.
Step 2
Try to take a thing for a maximum of 1-2 seasons, and not 3 years in advance. It's good when you can tuck the sleeves or trousers, but very often it turns out that such clothes "for growth" do not look very good when tucked up, and after a year they are already small. This is especially true for winter overalls.
Step 3
Nowadays there are a lot of synthetic clothes in stores, including children's ones. Although according to GOST, it should consist of at least 55% cotton. This rule applies to everyone from babies to teenagers. The fact is that synthetics are highly electrified, get dirty quickly, accumulate microbes in themselves and poorly let air through. For babies, in general, you should choose 100% natural fabrics. Regardless of the child's age, clothing should be soft, skin-friendly and free of movement.
Step 4
Clothes for children are replete with a variety of colors. It looks very cool, cheers up adults and children. However, do not get carried away with too bright colors - they can unnecessarily excite and unnerve children. Not too useful for the psyche and a favorite school combination - white top, black bottom. Leave it only for special occasions. According to psychologists, beige and brown shades are considered optimal for children.
Step 5
Clothes should be practical and comfortable, even if they are few, and combined with other wardrobe items. The cut should be loose enough and not impede movement. The fasteners should be easy to use - good zippers, buttons, Velcro.
