In many fairy tales, cats and cats are the main characters. At the same time, it is not always convenient to act on stage wearing a cardboard or foam rubber mask, especially if your character has to talk or sing a lot. Better to draw the cat's face right on the face. After the performance, the mask can be washed off immediately, since modern make-up is often done on a water basis.

It is necessary

  • - a picture with an actor in the role of a cat;
  • - Aquacolor paints;
  • - theatrical makeup;
  • - soft brushes of different thickness;
  • - palette;
  • - water;
  • - petroleum jelly;
  • - mirror.

Instructions

Step 1

Find the right picture. Cats from cartoons are unlikely to suit you in this case, they are more suitable for making masks. Find several makeup options for the musical "Cats". Among the characters, there is surely an image that will suit you too. If you want to create something of your own, just look at which parts of the face you should pay attention to.

Step 2

Wash your face. If you are wearing makeup, remove it and wipe your face with lotion. If you are going to paint a baby's face, wash your young actor. Wipe your skin dry, whether you are applying face painting or traditional theatrical. In the second case, lubricate your face with Vaseline, otherwise it will be very difficult to remove the makeup later. Water-based paints are preferable for children. They will not harm the skin, unlike regular makeup, which can be too rough.

Step 3

Prepare your makeup and what you will be applying it with. For face painting, you also need water and a palette, for which you can use a sheet of thick white paper. For regular makeup, it is helpful to have cotton swabs or swabs handy. Each type of makeup has its own advantages. In the theatrical box you will find many different colors. There are only five of them in water paints, but they can be mixed.

Step 4

Manipulations with your own face, of course, are best done in front of a mirror. Use white paint to mark the place under the mustache, capturing the tip of the nose. This part of the cat's face is pear-shaped. You need to be especially careful to ensure that the lateral lines are symmetrical. It is most convenient to paint over the tip of the nose and the edges of its wings, then brush along the nasolabial folds to the corners of the mouth and further to the chin. Having outlined the outlines, paint over the inner space with white paint. Using traditional makeup, you can make it both pinkish and grayish.

Step 5

Circle your eyes. This can be done in exactly the same way as you usually lead them, only the lines should be thick enough and located at the top and bottom. Extend the top line almost to the bridge of the nose. Then bring the top and bottom almost to the temple.

Step 6

Make your eyebrows thicker. Make upward corners over the most convex part of them. Paint the interior with black. Draw 2-3 arcs over the corners - vibrissae. They should be symmetrical.

Step 7

Draw a mustache. They start at the borders of the part you have already painted over with white, and go in diverging lines towards the ears. The mustache should also be symmetrical. Finish each line at about the middle of the cheek. On the cheeks, put a few more points on each side. Paint over the tip of the nose with black.

Step 8

Paint your lips with regular lipstick. Better to take dark red. The contours can be outlined with a red pencil, making the lips slightly wider and longer than they are, 3-4 centimeters in each direction.
