Speaking is one of the most important ways to express yourself. All parents try to teach the baby to speak as soon as possible.
There are several stages in the development of speech in a child:
- at 2-3 months begins to reproduce phrases;
- at 5-7 months, phrases are pronounced more clearly;
- at 7-9 months, he begins to speak short phrases, but they are pronounced without any meaning;
- after nine months begins to consciously pronounce some words;
- at about a year and a half, he begins to speak short sentences, putting his own meaning in them;
- and only at two years old he begins to master the correct speech.
When learning to speak, the child first tries to describe what is happening around him. More often, he only remembers nouns or actions that are greatly simplified. Basically, closer to three years old, the baby can already divide everything that surrounds him into bad and good.
If parents are engaged in a child, then at two years old he should be able to express his wishes in short words. Many people strive to teach their baby to speak as early as possible. There are a few simple rules for this:
- First of all, you need to talk to your child from the first seconds of life. In these moments, he catches only one intonation, but the vocabulary at the same time can accumulate in the subconscious.
- You shouldn't give your baby a dummy often. As a rule, children accustomed to a dummy begin to speak much later than others. In addition, an irregular bite may form, which will significantly complicate the development of speech.
- You can't distort words. Speech therapists strongly recommend not to "lisp" with the child, as this significantly slows down the development of speech. From parents, the child should only hear the correct pronunciation of words.
- You need to constantly tell the child what each object is called. He must in his mind correlate words and objects. Especially if the baby points a finger at a certain thing, you need to tell him what it is called.
- It is required to read a lot of books to the child, especially with bright pictures. This contributes to the expansion of vocabulary. If he has become interested in books, you need to introduce reading into the daily routine.
- It is always necessary to explain to the baby the meaning of new words with the help of those words that he already knows.
- For a child to learn to speak in whole sentences, you need to ask him many questions, thereby creating a dialogue.
Thus, the baby will quickly learn to express his thoughts aloud if parents follow simple recommendations every day.
