Rice porridge is the most important dish in the diet of children. It is gluten-free and is therefore recommended for children with allergies. Unlike other cereals, polished rice contains practically no vitamins and minerals, but it has a neutral taste and is very useful for diseases of the large intestine and stomach.
It is necessary
- Round grain rice
- Water
- Milk
- Sugar, salt to taste
- Butter
Instructions
Step 1
For the preparation of rice porridge, only round grain rice is used. Sort out thoroughly, remove all dark grains. Rinse the rice in multiple waters to remove all traces of the rice flour.
Pour 1 cup of rice with 2 cups of warm water and leave to swell for 1-2 hours.
Step 2
Put the pot on fire. Put a piece of butter in the cereal to keep the rice from sticking to the sides of the pot. Bring to a boil, cover, simmer over medium heat for about 10 minutes. The rice should swell and soften. Then add 1 cup of milk, reduce heat to low and simmer until the milk is completely absorbed.
Step 3
Remove the porridge from the heat, stir, add salt and sugar to taste. Leave the porridge covered for 5-10 minutes.
Step 4
For very young children, rub the rice through a metal sieve and dilute with milk to the desired consistency. If the baby is allergic to cow's milk, you can cook the porridge only in water, and after rubbing it through a sieve, dilute it with breast milk, or lactose-free milk formula sold in stores.
