Step 1
Remember that stool frequency in babies is an individual phenomenon. Its consistency, color, smell and frequency largely depend on the feeding option and on the individual characteristics of development. But if your baby has not defecated for a couple of days, he is clearly restless, his tummy is hard, and he twists his legs - you need to help him. In such an emergency, the ideal option would be to give an enema to the newborn.
Step 2
Let's get ready and get over it. Boil a soft-nosed syringe in a small saucepan. Do not get it out of the water yet. You will need a small syringe with a volume of about 50 ml.
Step 3
Prepare a solution to be injected into the intestines. It can be boiled water, boiled water with a few drops of vegetable oil, or chamomile decoction. The oil envelops the fecal lumps and helps them come out with minimal trauma. A decoction of chamomile will be good for gassing problems. Cool the solution to 30 degrees.
Step 4
Wash your hands thoroughly. Spread out a special waterproof diaper.

Insert the spout of the syringe gently without effort into the baby's ass a couple of centimeters and slowly squeeze the liquid out of the syringe. Without unclenching the syringe, take it out, and with the other hand squeeze the baby's ass. It is necessary that the liquid softens the feces and has time to act on the intestines, stimulating its emptying.
