Almost all newborn babies suffer from disorders of the digestive system. Due to the immaturity of the stomach and intestines, babies suffer from colic, increased gas production, and bloating. More than one generation of parents is struggling with this ailment of newborns with the help of dill water.
Instructions
Step 1
As a rule, problems with digestion are observed in children 4-5 weeks of age. They take young parents by surprise. Although colic is observed in every baby to a greater or lesser extent, this does not make it easier for mom and dad. They constantly carry the baby in their arms, apply a warm diaper or stroke the baby's tummy.
Step 2
If your child suffers from colic or bloating, be sure to give him dill water. Of course, it is not so easy to find it in its pure form. It is usually made in pharmacies that make their own medicines. In addition, the shelf life of such water is not great: 2-3 days at room temperature, 7-10 days when stored in a refrigerator. The modern analogue of dill water is the preparation "Plantex". It is made from fennel (a "relative" of dill), has a long shelf life and, thanks to packing in individual bags, is simple and convenient to use. "Plantex" is used in babies from the moment colic begins, that is, from about 3-4 weeks of age, or earlier, if the need arises.
Step 3
Supporters of traditional medicine can prepare dill water on their own. To do this, 1 teaspoon of dill seeds, which can be purchased at the pharmacy, are poured with boiling water, and then infused for 1-1, 5 hours. This infusion is given to the child 1 teaspoon 3 times a day between feedings. When taking dill water for the first time, you must carefully monitor the reaction of the crumbs, since this drug can cause allergies.
Step 4
Dill water begins to work 15-20 minutes after ingestion. If the baby tolerates the drug well, then its amount can be gradually increased, bringing it to 5-6 teaspoons per day.
