Most newborns of two weeks of age are worried about unpleasant symptoms in the form of colic and bloating. The child behaves restlessly, is capricious, does not sleep well at night. It is in the first months of life that the child's digestive system adapts and rebuilds, these symptoms are absolutely natural, but still cause concern for the parents.
With colic and gas formation in a child, pediatricians advise taking dill water as the safest remedy for a newborn. In any pharmacy chain, you can find a large assortment of different drugs to get rid of flatulence in a baby. It can be either dill water or special tea, which contains fennel seeds. If you use dill water, follow the recommendations of your pediatrician. Basically, this is one tablespoon of dill water in the amount of six doses per day. If your baby is less than 8 weeks old, it is recommended that you add one tablespoon of dill water to your feeding mix.
Dill water is useful not only for a newborn, but also for a nursing mother, as it has a positive effect on the quality of breast milk. Dill water has no restrictions on the duration of use and can be used periodically. The only limitation is that the child is less than two weeks old. Mothers, for whom pharmaceutical dill water causes excitement, can prepare it on their own.
Fennel seeds in the amount of 2 g are ground in a mortar and added to a glass of boiling water. The composition should be infused for half an hour, after which it must be filtered through several layers of gauze. Such a composition is stored in the refrigerator for no more than 3 days, before use, warm it up to the temperature the child needs.
