People who devote most of their lives to careers often cannot meet a member of the opposite sex and establish stable relationships, since they spend all their time at work. For this reason, they succumb to temptation and start dating their colleagues.
Of course, the office romance has its advantages. Firstly, you do not need to rack your brains and get to know someone, as acquaintance happens by itself during the work process. Secondly, your significant other will be with you almost all the time.
However, such a relationship, especially short-term affairs, can end in failure. One of my acquaintances decided to change jobs and got a job as a waiter in a new bar. On the first day, her superiors introduced her to her colleagues. In addition to the waiter, only a bartender (a guy, 18 years old) and an adult female chef worked in the establishment.
The young girl immediately noticed the young handsome man. "He's so tall, so handsome and so vulnerable," she chirped into my phone while the very same bartender, after the close of the shift, prepared another cocktail for her. "He really likes me, he does not take his eyes off me," she summed up.
For me, such behavior was strange, since my acquaintance was at home waiting for her husband, relations with whom had long come to a standstill, and family life had turned into a banal neighborhood. But that didn't stop her. Since then, she and the young bartender periodically stayed alone at the establishment after the close of the shift and had a good time. But she completely forgot that such an intrigue does not carry any obligations, and an eighteen-year-old boy hardly needs anything other than intimacy.
How she sobbed on my shoulder, telling me that the same young seducer began to bring different girls to work and flirt with them, treating them to expensive alcohol and strong coffee. I consoled her, reminding her that she herself should not forget that she was in a civil marriage, and that such a romance initially could not end successfully.
But at that moment I had no idea how it could end. The young man told all his colleagues about his victory, and behind my friend's back they began to laugh, and sometimes they spoke directly about her lack of principle. At first she laughed it off, then began to declare that her life should not concern anyone. Working with this guy became unbearable. Any working moments turned into grandiose scandals. As a result, the girl quit.
Of course, this story is just an isolated incident, however, before starting love affairs at work, consider whether it is worth it.
