Onychomycosis (fungal infection of the nails) occurs as a result of infection by parasitic fungi. In this case, the pillows of the fingers are affected first, they turn red and swell, and then the nail plates - they thin, crumble, acquire an unpleasant yellow color.
Instructions
Step 1
If you notice yellowed nails on the hands and feet in your child, do not delay it, be sure to consult a doctor. Use ointments and gels for rubbing in, products containing clotrimazole, naftifine hydrochloride and bifonazole are suitable. Rub the ointment into the nail plate and glue the waterproof plaster on top. Leave it for a day, then remove the patch, immerse the affected nails in a solution of soda and soap and remove the affected nails. Repeat this procedure until complete recovery, until a healthy nail begins to grow. If the lesions are not yet intense, use special antifungal varnishes containing amorolfine or ciclopiroxolamine. Use them for 6-8 months, and if toenails are affected, extend them up to a year.
Step 2
In parallel with traditional methods of treatment, use folk remedies. To do this, use the foot and hand baths with celandine infusion, pour 3-4 tablespoons of herbs with three liters of boiling water, leave for 30 minutes. If the toes are affected, wrap the legs with a leaf of burdock, wash the veins with a hammer. Do this procedure 2 times a day for 2 hours. Baths of sea salt with soda are good, apply several times a day. Do not forget to wipe the nail plates with rubbing alcohol.
Step 3
If you have reached the long-awaited recovery, take care of yourself and your children, use individual files and scissors, disinfect all shoes and clothes. Walk in slippers on the beaches, this also applies to swimming pools, saunas and baths. Don't let your child wear someone else's shoes; wear clean socks every day. After showering or bathing, teach your child to wipe dry between the toes. Feed your child a varied and healthy food containing all the necessary elements: proteins, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals.
