It is not enough to be just kind and sympathetic to raise children well. Even the most famous and talented teachers punished their pupils. But to punish so as not to humiliate the child and not to lose his trust is a whole art.

Instructions

Step 1

Do not force your child to do household chores as a punishment. Cleaning your room, washing the dishes, or helping your grandmother weed the garden may not be the most fun activities. But fulfilling them, the child understands that in life you need to be able to serve yourself and provide assistance to those who need it. When labor is a punishment, parents run the risk of raising a slacker who, in adulthood, will shy away from any work.

Step 2

Don't bully your child. Cross out words such as "beat down", "hand over to the police", "send to an orphanage" from your vocabulary. Young children take your words literally. It is a great stress for them to hear this from the most beloved person in the world. And the older guys are already ignoring such threats. But for them swearing and shouting becomes the norm.

Step 3

Never ignore a child. If you want to punish him, you must definitely explain why he is being punished and why his behavior is unacceptable. Arrogant silence is only a method of manipulation, and a very cruel one. You don't want to raise a self-conscious loser with a permanent sense of guilt, do you?

Step 4

Don't postpone the punishment until later. This is especially true for young children. Kids at the age of two or three years after half an hour forget what they were doing quite recently. Punishment even after such a short period of time is perceived by them as unfair and undeserved. They just won't understand why their parents are angry.

Step 5

Don't hit children. Even a slap on the bottom is physical abuse. And violence can only cause aggression. And if the child does not splash out aggression on you, this means that it is hidden in his soul and eats away at it like rust. Do not humiliate the one who loves you more than anyone else in the world, who expects protection, understanding and love from you. If you can’t resist the blow, the problem is not with the child’s terrible behavior, but with yourself.
