Undoubtedly, clothes and shoes for a child are purchased more often, as he is constantly growing. When clothes fit perfectly, it is easier for a child to look perfect, but we often buy clothes for him to grow, and determine the size by eye. So it turns out that this season the thing bought for the child is large and looks ridiculous, and next summer the crumb grows out of it. And it turns out that both the child and the money are wasted in vain. And it was only necessary to correctly determine the size of the baby's clothes.
Instructions
Step 1
Be aware that manufacturers of a nursery usually prescribe the child's height on the labels as the base size. For you, this is the most commonplace way to determine to buy a dress or shirt for your child. But keep in mind that for children from 4 years old, clothing sizes are determined in addition to height and weight. Indeed, not only the appearance, but also its mobility, ease of movement and mood will depend on how the clothes fit on the child.
Step 2
To accurately determine the size, measure the following indicators of the child's figure using a measuring tape. At the same time, take your measurements only for linen, tightly to the figure, in order to exclude large layers of tissue on the body, which reduce the accuracy of measurements. Offer the child to stand upright, lower his hands down, put the heels together, maintain a natural posture. Make sure that the distance between the toes of the feet is about 10-15 cm.
Step 3
• Determine the height of the child. For this child, stand with his back to the wall without shoes and without a headgear. Make sure that the support is carried out by five points: heels, calves, buttocks, shoulder blades and the back of the head. Place an even horizontal stop at the top of the head, then mark at its level with a pencil on the height meter. If the baby is not yet able to stand, take the measurement while the baby is lying down. To do this, spin a tape measure or a centimeter to its full length.
• Measure the circumference of the chest horizontally around the torso, without pulling the baby tight and passing a centimeter across the entry points of the chest and shoulder blades.
• Measure your waist and hips. Make sure that the baby does not suck in the stomach.
• Measure the sleeve length by determining the distance from the protruding point of the humerus along the outer surface of the arm bent at the elbow to the proximal phalanx of the first finger.
Step 4
Knowing all these measurements, use the special sizing tables designed for children of different ages and genders. Choose the size for the child that has the largest number of matches with your results. Better to try on the thing you like before buying.
