Step 1
These are the exercises with the child, if he does not pronounce the letter "r", replacing it in words with "l", "y", "l". Place the child in front of you. Ask to look at your mouth when you pronounce the letter "r" clearly. The child will see the main actions of your lips and tongue and will try to repeat the movements behind you.
Step 2
Tighten your lips, spread them to the sides, show the movements of the tongue inside the child's mouth when pronouncing "p". Ask your child to do all the movements together now. The following exercises should be associated in the child with the sounds that the animals make. Invite him to pronounce animal sounds together. Imagine, for example, a tiger growling. Or show with your mouth how the tractor works, how the car starts up with the sound "r". Let the child try to repeat after you.
Step 3
Do tongue warming exercises if your child is not very good at repeating at first. Ask your tongue to chat in different directions in the area of the lips, then in the area of the teeth, then invite the child to tickle his palate with his tongue. Let him put his tongue to the sky and blow air into it. First, just letting out air, then with sound. These exercises train your baby's tongue.
Step 4
The letter "l" is given to many children easier than "r", but it happens that they replace it with other sounds, for example, "l", "v" or "y". Ask the child to part his lips in a smile (show the movements of the mouth yourself, saying "l"), and press his tongue to the palate. Let him hum in this position of the lips and tongue. Now ask your tongue to touch the teeth and again say the sound that he will get in this position. These are exercises to warm up before you start doing others.
Step 5
To make the sound "l" easier for the child, you need to perform exercises for blowing air and increasing the mobility of the tongue. Since it is when the air circulation in the baby's mouth is disturbed and the tongue is not mobile enough, the pronunciation of the "l" sound is disturbed. Do the Horse exercise together. To do this, you need to click your tongue.
Step 6
It also requires blowing air out of the mouth in various ways: folding lips with a tube, moving lips apart in a smile, and so on. Name the blowing exercises for the child with names that will be clear and interesting to him, for example, "Fur", "Horn", "Breeze".
