In the first months of life, your little one may develop yellowish or white crusts on the scalp, which can interfere with hair growth. Do not worry! Gradually, they must pass. This usually happens by the second year of a child's life. The reason for their appearance is the increased secretion of the sebaceous glands. With the right care, you can easily deal with this little nuisance and your baby will grow soft and silky hair. But be sure to show your baby to a doctor to rule out an allergic reaction. Otherwise, all efforts will be in vain.
It is necessary
- - butter (butter, olive, baby, petroleum jelly);
- - cotton cap by size;
- - a comb with a fine comb and blunt teeth;
- - baby shampoo without dyes and fragrances;
- - sponge;
- - soft terry towel.
Instructions
Step 1
An hour before bathing your baby, generously lubricate his head with oil. The best option is softened butter. It should be warm, about 40 degrees, so as not to burn the child. After you put the oil on your head, put on a cotton cap to keep the oil out of your child's eyes. The crusts under the cap will soften better and come off the scalp well.
Step 2
Before bathing your baby, remove the cap and gently massage the scalp with a sponge. If you do not have a suitable sponge, you can use a dishwashing sponge, but for a child, use only a new sponge.
Step 3
Apply a dye-free baby shampoo to your baby's head. Gently wash your baby's head once. After that, rinse thoroughly so that no oil or soap remains on your head. After bathing, gently dry your hair with a towel.
Step 4
Gently comb off the remaining crusts with a children's comb with a fine comb. At the same time, the comb should be with blunt teeth, so as not to injure the delicate skin of the baby. Repeat this procedure no more than twice a week.
