The expression "absorbed with mother's milk" is well-known, but what if the mother does not have this very milk? The main thing is not to panic, because the times are long gone when the absence of breast milk from a mother required finding a wet nurse or getting milk in a children's dairy kitchen. But when feeding an artificial child, you must follow some rules.
Instructions
Step 1
Please note that the nutrition of an artificial baby is significantly different from that of a naturally fed baby. And if babies need to be given food when they need it, then it is customary for artificial children to observe a certain diet. So the newborn needs to be fed every 3 hours during the day and every 6 hours at night. When the baby reaches the age of 4-5 months, they begin to introduce complementary foods and increase the time intervals between feeding hours.
Step 2
Keep in mind that during the first spirit weeks of life, the amount of food mixture required should be calculated using a special formula, according to which the numerical index 70 is multiplied if the child weighs 3200 g and 80 if the child is more than the weight stated above by the number of days of the newborn. Pediatricians believe that from birth to two months of age, a child should receive a daily food intake equal to 1/5 of the body weight, that is, approximately 600 ml of nutritional formula. As the baby grows up, every two months this rate increases by 100 ml. Moreover, it is important to remember that foods such as tea, water or juice are not included in the diet.
Step 3
Be prepared for the fact that you may not immediately pick up the mixture he likes for your baby. In this regard, for seven weeks of using a new product, track how the baby is behaving and feeling. Within 5 days, the baby may experience allergic reactions, vomiting, diarrhea, or vice versa - constipation, this is completely normal, because the body is adapting to new food. If, after a week, the dangerous symptoms do not stop, then it is necessary to change the mixture. But be careful when switching to a different mixture; prepare it this way: a spoonful of the old mixture and a spoonful of a new one. This method is the most gentle for the transition to a new diet.
Step 4
Follow your pediatrician's recommendations for your baby's nutrition. So, before introducing a new mixture into the child's diet, be sure to track down and write down those problems that the child already has. This will greatly facilitate the process of introducing a new product into your diet.
Step 5
If infants receive everything they need with mother's milk, then artificial children should be given water as needed.
