Your child is growing, and with age, his needs for knowledge of the world around him also increase. He no longer needs rattling toys-rattles, but something more adult and developing. Of course, parents are happy to buy their child a variety of cars, dolls, construction sets or musical toys. And the child also takes great pleasure in disassembling or breaking them. Why is this happening and is it possible to teach a child to appreciate his toys at least a little?
A child doesn't break a toy just because he doesn't like it. This may be due to simple curiosity. Your child is interested in how the toy is arranged, what is inside. For example, parents often tell their child that an uncle is sitting inside the car - the driver is driving. Or where the water gets, drunk by the doll, or how the sounds of a children's piano make sounds. Mom and Dad themselves often arouse curiosity in the child.
Also, children break toys for the attention of their parents. Mom and dad work a lot, devote little time to their baby, and often this behavior is compensated by buying a new toy. When the parents see that the next car was left without wheels, they begin to explain that this should not be done. And this is communication. This is what the child sought by his deed.
It is better to teach your baby to be frugal from an early age, showing everything by example. There is no need to buy toys for your child "not for their age". Take those that will be interesting to him now, which he will love. For example, for a two-year-old baby, you can buy hardcover picture books, toys for his development, a couple of typewriters without small parts. And, of course, to show how and what you can play with such toys. Broken toys need to be "treated" together with the child, while explaining that the toys hurt from his actions.
Books should be read and viewed together. First, the child will be much more interesting. So mom can explain what is drawn in the pictures or read a fairy tale. Secondly, in the course of reading, you need to show the child that the sheets must be turned over carefully, that it is forbidden to tear or gnaw them.
Clean up yourself and have your child put the toys back into place. To do this, let each type of toy have its own corner in the apartment. For example, put cars in the garage, dolls and bears on the bed, small valuables in a box or chest, and books on a shelf. Even if the baby has a lot of toys, this is not a reason to leave them scattered on the floor. The child must learn that breaking or throwing things is not good. Parents should not admire such actions, but it is better to show with their whole appearance that they are very upset.
If the child has a "destructive" character, then you should pay attention to toys that can be built and broken. These are cubes, constructors. Let the baby build first before breaking it.
Breaking everything is a step in the development of a child. It is impossible to teach to value things seriously before the age of six, because the feeling of care comes only after four years of life. No matter how expensive and interesting the toy is, the attention of the parents is dearer to the child. Play with your little one, spend a lot of time together, and the feeling of frugality will come naturally.
