When feeding an eight-month-old baby, you should not completely abandon breastfeeding. Of course, you can already switch to complementary foods, but it is necessary to supplement the mother with milk in the morning or evening.
Instructions
Step 1
At the age of eight months, the child already needs to be offered multi-component cereals, assorted cereals or cereals with fruit additives. They can be prepared with cow's milk, water, or formula. To improve the taste, you can add fruit puree or granulated sugar there for taste.
Step 2
A baby at the age of eight months can already be given meat broth or puree soup. Making this soup is pretty simple. To do this, you need to pour the meat broth over the finely chopped potatoes, add a little carrots, onions and herbs and cook until tender. When the soup is done, add a little salt, butter or oil. It is not necessary to mix the finished soup in a blender; it will be enough to knead it with a fork. But make sure that the remaining pieces are not very large. As a rule, children of this age do not have enough teeth to chew such food completely.
Step 3
When the child was seven months old, you added boiled meat to the children's menu. At the age of eight months, the amount of meat can already be increased. It is very useful for the child's body, as it contains amino acids, fat, animal protein, mineral salts and vitamins. This product goes very well with cereals or vegetable purees.
Step 4
It is better to use lean meat (chicken, turkey, veal, chicken or beef) for feeding your child. It is worth remembering that if a child is prone to allergic reactions, then the meat of hens and chickens should be given carefully, as they can cause a new allergic reaction. But, in spite of everything, poultry meat contains a large amount of unsaturated fatty acids, which are necessary for the child's body. Do not forget about fermented milk products. Better if they are homemade.
Step 5
In order to simplify food preparation, you can purchase ready-made baby cereals that you just need to pour boiling water over, baby purees in jars (both fruit and vegetable), baby meat puree. Remember that an open jar of food cannot be stored in the refrigerator for more than 24 hours.
Step 6
During this period, most children have teeth and gums itching. Therefore, it is good to give them crackers or dryers (bagels) so that they can nibble. Thus, you will additionally introduce bread to the baby's diet and give a delicious teething device to scratch the gums.
Step 7
Do not forget to wash your child's hands before eating, it is better to feed the soup from a deep plate, porridge from a plate for main courses, and give juices from a mug.
