You may find it difficult to write fairy tales for children. Of course, a certain amount of talent for writing must be present. But believe me, it's even interesting. You just need to turn on your imagination.

To begin with, try to look at things that are familiar to you from a different angle. Even thimbles, buttons, a glove, an old lamp and other household items can become the heroes of your fairy tale. But, of course, you can't do without magic here. The characters of the fairy tale must be animated, endowed with human qualities, forced to speak. Many authors, including G. Kh. Anderson, C. Perrault, used in their work the method of transforming an inanimate object into a living fabulous creature. For example, the characters of the fairy tale "The Ugly Duckling" by G. Kh. Anderson's are ordinary inhabitants of the poultry yard. But their speech is clear to us.
Plot
Characters alone, however, are not enough to create a fairy tale. You need to come up with a plot. As a basis, you can take some interesting life situation and replace real characters with fictional characters. It will also be useful to remember your childhood, friends. Surely, you played detectives with them, went to look for treasures, built sand castles or made figures of little men from chips, flowers and leaves. This can also serve as a plot for creating a fairy tale. Children will be very interested even in this "wrapper" to learn how you were as a child.
Also, when coming up with a plot, you can use such traditional elements of a fairy tale as a saying, three-fold repetitions, a happy ending, and others. It will be useful to remember the fairy tales that your parents told you at night as a child. By creating a kind of collage from pieces of different plots, you may come up with something of your own, original. However, the most important thing here is not to overdo it and use only parts from other fairy tales that are combined with your main plot.
Your fairy tale, for example, may look like this: “There was an old pin, rusty from dampness, in the corner of a dark closet. She was sad and very lonely. A tiny skylight door slammed shut in the wind with a crash. And everything would have gone on like this. But one winter, when the window door opened again, a sparrow flew into the closet. He could not catch his breath for a long time … and so on.
You can also come up with household tales, about animals, etc. Here life experience and observation will serve as an assistant. You can involve your children in writing. They will definitely like it. They come up with different stories on the go.
Thus, it all depends on your irrepressible imagination, as well as the number of stories read or heard. Perhaps, somewhere inside you, there is a real writer of children's books.
