To keep your baby's sleep calm and sweet, take care of a set in a crib. Of course, you can get it in the store, but these kits are quite expensive. In addition, there is nothing better than things made with love, as they carry the extraordinary energy of a loving person.

Instructions

Step 1

For crib bedding, choose a plain cotton fabric in pastel colors. The fabric may shrink after washing, so wash and iron it first.

Step 2

Cover the sides of the bed with “pillows”. Cut out rectangles according to the measurements of the crib on the seamy side of the fabric. Cut out the details. Sew three sides of the pieces, leaving one open. Cut out the foam rubber (its size should be slightly smaller than the size of the fabric part by about 0.5 cm on each side). Insert the foam piece into the cover. Sew up the hole. Sew to the "pillow" two ribbons 5 centimeters wide, leaving 6 centimeters from the edge.

Step 3

For a 45x45 cm pillowcase for a standard baby pillow, cut out a rectangle 47 cm wide and 100 cm long. Sew the short sections of the rectangle. Fold it in an envelope twice 45, 45 and 10 centimeters and sew on the sides, cut the sections with an overlock or zigzag stitch. Decorate the pillowcase with a flounce made of sewing or lace.

Step 4

For the sheet, measure the length and width of the mattress and add 10-20 cm to the resulting measurements. Sew all the sections. To prevent the sheet from straying off the mattress, sew along the edge of an elastic band, but in this case, add 5-10 cm to the measurements of the mattress, otherwise the sheet will not stretch.

Step 5

Cut out the duvet cover according to the size of the duvet, adding 5 cm to the resulting measurements. Fold the piece in half with the right sides facing each other. Sew all the cuts, leaving a hole for the blanket to be inserted. Turn the duvet cover out and iron all the seams.

Step 6

A canopy bed looks very cute. In addition, it is very practical as it can be used to cover the crib and protect the baby from bright light when he sleeps. Choose a sheer fabric. Fold in the lengths of all sides of the crib to get the width of the canopy. Fold one third of the length, make two stitches on top, between which insert the canopy ring. Sew two ribbons at the junction on the ring and tie them into a bow. Decorate the canopy with lace or sewing.
