Step 1
Find the right yarn - keep the threads soft and pleasant to the touch. When choosing yarn, apply it to the cheek - if your sensations are appropriate, then the baby will be comfortable.
Step 2
Determine your suit type. It can be pants and a pullover, a jumpsuit with straps and a blouse. To make the baby comfortable, choose models with raglan sleeves - the absence of seams that will not press on the handles and rub them is necessary. Start knitting at the neckline - then, as the child grows, you can lengthen the sleeves and bottom of the pullover.
Step 3
Calculate the number of loops. To do this, knit a small sample, count the number of loops in one centimeter. Then measure the child's head, make a few stitches in stock and multiply the figure by the number of your stitches. Type the resulting number of loops on the knitting needles, and start knitting.
Step 4
Knit the neck with a loose elastic band - the pullover should not fit snugly to the child's neck.
Step 5
Count the number of buttonholes for sleeves, back and front. Subtract 8 from the total number of your loops (they will remain for raglan sleeves, two loops on each side). Divide the remaining number of loops into three - back, shelf, two sleeves.
Step 6
Take a different color of thread and mark the raglan lines. Knit the blouse in a circle, adding loops along the raglan lines in every second row. When you get to armpit level, remove the sleeve loops onto the pins. Restore the number of stitches by typing them on a working needle and continue with circular knitting. Finish the rows at the bottom by finishing the bottom of the blouse with an elastic band.
Step 7
Knit the sleeves - move the loops from the pins to the working knitting needles and knit in a circle to the required sleeve length. Finish knitting with an elastic band as well.
Step 8
Tie your pants. Measure your waist circumference and calculate the required number of loops. Tie a few centimeters with an elastic band - this will be the belt. Knit each pant leg separately, dividing the total number of loops by two - in a circular knit, knit the pant legs and finish them with an elastic band. Decorate the suit with contrasting piping around the edges of the sleeves, neckline and hem.
