Taking care of the child on their own or taking him to a development school is the choice of every mother. However, it is still worth knowing how your baby will be taught according to one method or another.

It is believed that a child's brain absorbs knowledge like a sponge, that in the first year of life the brain develops by about 60%, and by three years - by 80%. Therefore, starting from only 7 years of age (when the growth of the brain is already ending), we miss the most sensitive time for development. True or fictional, but everyone knows that you need to "deal" with babies. And classes should take place in an easy playful way.

Teaching early writing and reading according to the Zaitsev Cubes method

The author of the technique, Nikolai Zaitsev, calls for abandoning the "artificial division of speech" into letters. Children always pronounce syllables, which are then combined into words. The technique is based on a game with cubes, on the edges of which are written warehouses (not a syllable, but a warehouse - a pair of consonants and vowels). Cubes ring in different ways (metal and wood sound), differ in size and color. All this helps kids to remember the difference between major and consonants, voiceless and voiced. Gradually mastering the cubes, the kid and the teacher sing songs about each cube, naming each warehouse and turning the cube on the palm of their hand. Also, the technique includes special tables and instructions.

Children from 2-3 years old, the technique helps to start reading from the first lessons, babies up to 1 year old - begin to speak and read at the same time, it is easier to master the "correct" speech. If you wish, you can offer a 4-5 month old baby to play like a rattle, a ringing cube and sing him songs about “warehouses”.

Studying according to Zaitsev's method, the child will be able to avoid stupid mistakes, such as "zhyraf" or "shyna"; learning takes place through play. However, in the very first grade, he will have to retrain, since the teacher will demand to parse the word by composition, and not by warehouse; vowels will be marked with red cards, consonants will be blue, etc. (in the methodology, other designations). The choice is yours.

Glen Doman's method of teaching reading

The main idea: the more intense the load on the child's brain in the first years of life, the more developed the child's intellect will be. Practically from birth, the baby and parents are offered physical exercises that stimulate physical activity. From 3-6 months, parents daily show the child for 2-3 seconds cards that teach counting, reading and so on.

The controversy around this technique does not subside: an abundance of information can overload and deplete the baby's nervous system; the child's passivity in learning (he only receives information in order to reproduce later) dulls curiosity and reduces interest in independent knowledge of the world. It is also believed that this technique leaves almost no time for creative, aesthetic, psychological development; the child automatically memorizes words with pictures, but then he will not be able to read books with unknown words, and, perhaps, he will not want to, because there are no vivid illustrations for all words in the textbook. Opponents of this technique are sure that by memorizing words from pictures, a child forms an image associated with a specific picture, therefore, in a zoo, a baby may not recognize a living tiger; kids remember better through the game, and in the methodology they only have to observe the cards. Despite all this, the technique has the right to life and is actively practiced by parents from different countries.

On the public sale and on Internet sources such as YouTube, there is a video with Doman's training cards. The video is embedded in a slightly different way: the child is shown a card, and then drawings of this concept and a video about the concept, in parallel with which the presenter girl sings a song about the object being demonstrated.

My daughter and I periodically watch such videos, alternating them with cartoons. She happily dances to the songs and claps her hands together with the kids from the video.

Whatever technique or whatever activities you choose with your baby, remember that everything should be fun. Every child is different. For each kid, according to his personal sense of time, one or another length of the lesson is enough. Learn to enjoy learning with your child. In the end, everyone will learn to read at school, there is no point in chasing the results "from under the stick" or comparing the success of your child with the children of friends and neighbors.
