Healthy sleep is very important for all people, regardless of age. Any sleep disturbance leads to fatigue, weakness, health problems. Let's figure out how to solve the problem with the child's sleep so that all family members sleep well.
Sleep disturbance is a very common problem in both adults and children. But in this article we will figure out why your child does not sleep well - after all, if the baby is awake, then the parents also cannot rest normally. So let's get started.
Individual feature
I remember how everyone around me told me that in the first months my daughter would only eat and sleep. But in fact, everything turned out to be completely different - she slept very little during the day - all the time she had to study the world around me, either in my arms, or lying on the blanket and looking around. And this despite the fact that guests came to us very rarely (1-2 people) and we did not go anywhere much. That is, she did not have much excitement, but she did not sleep and that was all. In this case, there are two options: either put up with it, or try to create favorable conditions conducive to sleep - for example, a walk - and it is good for you, and the child will sleep either in the fresh air or at home when he returns.
Agitation
A lot of people around, frequent visits, new sounds and experiences - all this can lead to sleep disturbances. You need to try to limit these factors until the child grows up.
Mom's anxiety
In life, there are enough worries and stress for mothers, especially in the postpartum period, but the child feels everything. So try to rest, relax, and try to keep yourself calm.
Disrupted daily routine
Parents often prefer to stay up late and wake up late. So - since there is a child in the family - you need to establish the correct routine, especially since this is useful for adults, because many do not get up to work in the morning due to the fact that they went to bed at the wrong time. For example, until my daughter grew up (I woke up for night feeding and got up at 7-8 in the morning), despite the fact that my husband was sitting up late, I went to bed with my daughter at 21.00 (although I didn't really want to) - so I'm more - slept less.
The child is worried about something
He may be disturbed by loud noises, colic, teething, tummy pains, fever, etc. If this is the reason, you just need to experience it.
Hunger
The solution is simple - feed well and on time.
Heat
It often happens that it is stuffy and hot at home - in such conditions, it is difficult for both an adult and a child to fall asleep. Try to ventilate - for example, take your baby to another room and open (or slightly open) a window. So that there was no draft and not too much puffing, I did this in winter - my daughter and I sat for a while in a closed bedroom, and it was ventilated in the hall, then I closed the window and opened the door to the bedroom.
Lack of calcium
This leads to sleep disturbance (usually seen during periods of active growth).
Excess vitamin D
This leads to increased excitability.
Summing up, I would like to say that there can be many reasons - you just need to calmly understand the situation and solve it, because the child is calm - the parents are calm (and vice versa). Therefore, maintain a warm and friendly atmosphere in the family, rest on time, love each other and everything will be fine!
