Your child doesn't want to learn lessons. What is it - laziness, simple stubbornness, a desire to prove something to someone, or just poor progress? There are many reasons, and they are different at every age. Parents cannot let the current situation go by itself, they must influence the problem with their studies before it is too late.
Instructions
Step 1
Allocate a separate room for the student, not a corner in the common room.
Step 2
Create a comfortable environment in the room. Furniture should be appropriate for the child's age. Arrange the writing table in accordance with sanitary standards.
Step 3
Remove distracting objects from sight or hearing, such as TVs, computers, toys, and sweets.
Step 4
Together with your child, create a daily routine that takes into account his wishes. It is advisable to do the lessons not immediately, as soon as the child comes from school. Give him time for rest and lunch. Do not drag out the rest time until late - by the evening your student will get tired and will want to sleep, and not do homework.
Step 5
Teach your child how to time the right time for homework. First of all, difficult and complex tasks are performed: mathematics, chemistry, physics.
Step 6
Allow to interrupt the lessons for a short break - 10-15 minutes within one hour.
Step 7
Remind your child to do homework when the time is right, according to the schedule. Do not force him to study, do not press, do not shout, but just remind him.
Step 8
Be patient if the child slowly delves into the meaning of the homework. Tell me if the task caused difficulties, but do not complete the lessons yourself for the child.
Step 9
Give control over the lessons to the child himself, do not interfere with the preparation of homework until you are asked to do so.
Step 10
Consult the teacher by phone if you are in doubt about the correctness of the assignment.
Step 11
Praise your child for homework done correctly, for neat handwriting, beautiful drawing, etc.
Step 12
Don't scold your child for failure. It is better to try to understand the new topic, why suddenly the child received a "failure" in the lesson, why he brought a teacher's "remark" in the diary.
Step 13
Show the examples of people you know and your own example, what gives a good education in later life, and what ignorance gives.
Step 14
Make non-learning unfashionable in the child's eyes.
Step 15
Never insult a child with a "lazy", "mediocre", "bum".
