You stopped in the middle of your long career path. For a long time, they do not raise you, do not add wages, and in some cases they generally doubt your professionalism. Something went wrong in the well-oiled mechanism of mutual understanding with the bosses.
Instructions
Step 1
To build relationships with superiors, you need to have a well-developed intuition, that is, at the cellular level, feel the moods and desires of leadership. Moreover, you need to know what the boss is fond of, what life preferences and priorities he has. Suddenly he is a fierce Manchester United fan, and you spoke unflatteringly about his favorite team, or hates purple, and your wardrobe is full of purple shirts. The boss is also a person who has his own incomprehensible and illogical prejudices that you know best about.
Step 2
Never curry favor or fawn. A person can almost immediately determine what is sycophancy and hypocrisy, and where is the real truth. Having discerned these negative qualities in you, he will never entrust you with serious and responsible work. Be honest, but that doesn't mean you have to dump the whole truth out. Honesty and tact should be present in one bottle.
Step 3
Knowing your profession is essential in building a relationship with your boss. You must be a qualified professional to always be on top. But there is another extreme: you must not go too far. Don't try to be or seem smarter than your boss. It won't end well. The worked-out mechanism will come into action: I am the boss, you are a fool.
Step 4
Don't be familiar with your boss. No matter how well you communicate with him outside of work, no matter how friendly relations between you are flickering, crossing the threshold of the office, you should completely forget about it. Business is business. At work, he is the boss, and you are the subordinate.
Step 5
You can approach this point from the other side: if the position of the boss at your work is occupied by a girl or a guy younger than you, you should also not forget about the chain of command. Better to call him / her by name and patronymic and, of course, not poke. Do not try to show with all your appearance that you are older and smarter. Otherwise, your behavior will characterize you as an ignoramus, and disrespectful attitude towards the leadership will not add advantages to your track record.
Step 6
In any situation, it is important first of all to remain human. Man educated, responsible, quick-witted and with a sense of humor, which never hurts. Jokes sometimes help relieve tension in the team or defuse the situation.
