Almost every young mother is anxiously awaiting the moment of weaning the baby from the breast. Because it is not always clear what to feed your child with now and what is useful for him and what is not. Switching to artificial feeding is easy if you follow the basic rules for the selection and combination of products.

Instructions

Step 1

Complementary foods should begin by adding purchased milk formulas to breast milk, gradually increasing the amount fed daily.

Step 2

Already at 3-4 months of age, you can begin to gradually switch to single-component juices with them. Better to take apple, pear or pumpkin, as they are the most useful and least allergenic for the baby. You don't have to buy them in the store, you can cook them yourself. To do this, rub the desired fruit or vegetable on a fine grater, squeeze through sterile gauze, and the juice is ready.

Step 3

In the same period, start giving mashed potatoes. They should initially contain the same ingredients as juices, but you can add banana, peach, prunes, potatoes, carrots and cauliflower to this list. The presence of salt, pepper, sugar and spices in mashed potatoes is highly undesirable.

Step 4

When the baby is completely comfortable with such a diet (at 5-6 months), give him mixed juices (carrot-apple, apricot-pumpkin, grape-raspberry, apple-blueberry, etc.) and various fruit purees with the addition of cottage cheese or yogurt.

Step 5

A little later comes the period of porridge. After all, if you do not accustom the child to them from early childhood, it is highly likely that he will never love them. And this is very bad, because it is they that contain the carbohydrates necessary for the baby. Feel free to give rice, oatmeal and corn. You can buy ready-made mixed cereals such as corn-wheat, oat-wheat, rice-oat, multigrain. And also add chopped pieces of meat (best chicken or turkey in small quantities).

Step 6

The further, the more difficult. And when your baby is already fully accustomed to all of the above, introduce mashed meat or ham with potatoes, pasta and vegetables into his diet, but in a carefully mashed form.

Step 7

The main rule that should be observed in order to switch to artificial feeding is not to introduce anything into the baby's diet abruptly and not to use allergenic foods and foods with preservatives.
