Most of Russia is severely cold in winter. Therefore, it is quite natural that many parents are puzzled by the question: how to dress the baby for a walk so that he does not freeze and catch a cold.

Step 1
If your child is still very young and you take him for a walk in a stroller, be guided, first of all, by the air temperature. Many pediatricians generally do not recommend walking outside with a baby when the frost is stronger than -10 degrees. If you still want to take your baby outside, be sure to insulate the bottom of the stroller by putting a woolen or cotton blanket folded in several layers. This will create a good air gap and protect the baby from hypothermia.
Step 2
Try to use clothes made from natural fabrics. As little synthetics as possible! Dress the baby in this order: first, a diaper and a thin undershirt (sleeves forward so that the breast is covered all the time). Then a second undershirt made of a denser material, put on correctly, that is, with sleeves back and sliders.
Step 3
On the sliders, put on woolen or half-woolen pants and two pairs of socks - thin cotton and warm. Put on a woolen sweater and a warm hat on your child's upper body.
Step 4
If the child is still very young, it is better to place him in a fur envelope that leaves only his face open, or wrap him in a woolen blanket. If the child is over six months, wear warm overalls and shoes (make sure they are not tight).
Step 5
The main thing is that the child has several layers of clothing. The more air spaces there are, the slower it will cool. After dressing the baby, try to go outside as soon as possible. If you delay going out, he may sweat and then he will definitely freeze.
Step 6
During the walk, do not forget to control the well-being and behavior of the child. Watch his face, periodically touch the baby's nose. If suddenly it seems to you that the crumb is frozen, try to quickly return home. This is exactly the case when it is better to be too careful than too careless.
Step 7
In case of severe cold, it is better not to take the stroller with the child outside at all. Take it out on the balcony or loggia for a few minutes so that the baby can breathe fresh air. If you have not followed the baby, and he is severely frostbitten, immediately call an ambulance.
