Good health and strong immunity are the result of proper baby care. Hardening plays an important role in the physiological development of the baby, strengthens the immune system, and has a positive effect on the nervous system. Parents should pay careful attention to hardening procedures and consult a pediatrician.
Necessary
- - the correct temperature regime in the room;
- - air baths;
- - water procedures;
- - sunbathing.
Instructions
Step 1
Monitor room temperature, humidity and ventilation. The optimum temperature is 18-20 degrees. The air should be moderately humid. Ventilate the room regularly, remembering to take out the crumbs for this time. If the weather outside is warm (more than +15 degrees), then keep the window open. Your baby's crib or changing table should not be near a window.
Step 2
Do not wrap your child at home or while walking. Appropriate clothing plays a big role in hardening. Note that newborn babies have imperfect thermoregulation and can easily overheat. Leave your toddler without socks and in a short-sleeved T-shirt more often if the room is warm.
Step 3
Start hardening your baby with air procedures. Leave your baby naked for 3 minutes while changing the diaper. Gradually increase the time by 1 to 2 minutes. At the same time, make sure that the baby is not in a draft and has warm hands and feet. If your baby starts to hiccup or show anxiety, dress him up. Light massage is useful during air baths. Pat your baby's back, tummy, arms and legs. Your touch will bring great pleasure to the little one.
Step 4
Water procedures are an important component of hardening a child. After the navel has healed, transfer the baby's bath from the baby bath to the large one. Floundering in the water, the baby trains the lungs and muscles. In the first days of bathing, the water should be about 36.6-37 degrees. Then, every 5 days, lower the water temperature by one degree and bring it to 28 - 30 degrees. If your baby does not tolerate cool water, select a comfortable water temperature for him.
Step 5
In the morning wash your baby's face and hands with cool water.
Step 6
It is recommended to start solar baths from 5-6 months. Leave the baby naked for 3 minutes, then gradually bring up to 20 minutes under the sun. Sunny baths should not be used at midday or in extreme heat.
Step 7
It is important for the child to receive positive emotions during hardening procedures. If the baby is uncomfortable or worried about something, interrupt the procedure. Observe the sequence and gradualness in hardening the baby and do not forget to consult a pediatrician about this.
