Cranberries are just a storehouse of nutrients and vitamins. This wonderful berry contains organic acids, trace elements and vitamins C, B, PP, K1. Cranberry has numerous medicinal properties: it destroys pathogenic microbes, relieves inflammation, strengthens the walls of blood vessels, removes radionuclides from the body, reduces cholesterol levels and is a strong general tonic. Necessary

Cranberries, sugar, water, starch, gelatin, red currants

Instructions

Step 1

Introduce your child to cranberries no earlier than one year old. The healing properties of berries will strengthen children's immunity and help to recover faster after colds. It is not recommended to give cranberries to children with ulcerative lesions of the gastrointestinal tract and limit its consumption if the baby has food allergies.

Step 2

Cook jelly or fruit drink from berries. To prepare jelly, take cranberries, rinse them, pour over with boiling water and mash with a spoon. Squeeze the juice out of the berries and put it in the refrigerator. Pour the pomace with hot water, boil and strain the broth. Cool a quarter of the drink and dilute the starch in it. Boil the remaining broth together with sugar and pour the diluted starch into it. Stir the drink constantly. Let the broth boil and remove from heat. Pour the prepared juice into it and stir. For one serving you will need: 2 tablespoons of berries, 1 glass of water, 1 teaspoon of starch and 3 teaspoons of sugar.

Step 3

Prepare cranberry juice as follows. Go through and wash the berries. Squeeze the juice out of them and set it aside with a lid. Put the pomace on the fire, pouring them with 8 glasses of water. Let it boil and squeeze. Add a glass of sugar to the resulting broth, boil, strain and cool. Gently pour the previously squeezed fresh juice into the already cooled fruit drink. The drink is ready.

Step 4

Make ground fresh berries with sugar. To do this, chop the cranberries without defrosting, add sugar, let stand for a while until juice forms and arrange in jars. For 3 kg of berries, you will need 2 kg of sugar. Refrigerate and use as an addition to desserts, or serve fresh to your child.

Step 5

Make cranberry and red currant jelly for your baby. For half a glass of berries, you will need a glass of water, 3 tablespoons of sugar and 1 teaspoon of gelatin. Squeeze the juice out of the berries. Pour the pomace with boiling water, boil a little and strain. Soak gelatin in cold water beforehand. Add sugar and gelatin diluted in water to the broth and let it boil one more time. Cool slightly, strain, add berry juice and refrigerate until the mass solidifies.
