All children are different and it is better to use an individual approach or rely on maternal intuition for each in the process of learning to fall asleep independently. Babies have psychomotor intelligence, i.e. They learn the whole world through movement, they perceive falling asleep as something unpleasant, as parting with loved ones. Only with patience and consistency can you succeed.
Instructions
Step 1
Observe the daily routine. The habit of sleeping at the same time contributes to falling asleep on its own. Walk more outdoors.
Step 2
Before bed, play quiet games with your child, make it clear that the day has come to an end. Before going to bed, it is recommended to: read old fairy tales, put toys to bed, add blocks or puzzles. Outdoor games, new books and toys are best left for the next morning.
Step 3
Develop your own sleep ritual. The child's brain is exposed to a variety of stimuli, so repetitive actions have a calming protective value. It can only be yours and your child's sequences - singing a lullaby, placing a toy next to your baby, kissing, reviewing the day's events, etc. After following the ritual, be persistent but affectionate. List everything that you have done to observe the ritual, say that you need to do your business, and do not respond to the child's calls.
Step 4
Try to foresee all possible desires of the child - drinking, potty, so that the child cannot manipulate the adult and drive him here and there.
Step 5
Try not to put your baby to bed in a hurry. Take some time to create the desired relaxed atmosphere, the opportunity to communicate.
Step 6
Resolve all conflicts before bed, do not leave punishment in the morning. Delayed punishment is painful for the child. He will think that he is not loved.
Step 7
Practice bodily contact before bed - hug, kiss, call it an affectionate word, so the baby will be imbued with a sense of love and security.
Step 8
Don't leave your child alone with fears. Turn on the night light. Use a lamp with moving pictures, they have a calming effect. For the day, it is better to remove the night light away from the eyes of the child.
Step 9
Do not persist if your child has a sleep disorder. While he falls asleep, stand by the bed, excessive rigidity can only do harm.
